Is a family-run business. It was opened in October 2013 and has since become a very popular lodge in Lalibela, having won Trip Advisor's and Booking.com's Certificates of Excellence for two consecutive years (2015 and 2016). The lodge is walking distance (approximately fifteen minutes) from Lalibela's southern group of rock-hewn churches and is a twenty minute walk from the northern group of churches. While we are not far from the main village, we are tucked away from the buzzing town's life.

The word “Sora” has multiple meanings: First of all, it refers to a beautiful and green hill outside Lalibela. Second, according to the legend, it is the name of King Lalibela`s golden carpet. Third, “Sora” is a popular song and dance of Lalibela and its surrounding.
